Extreme Blogging
The authorities in Yuba City, California have reported that a man driving while using his laptop computer was killed last Monday when his car crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a Hummer. After the crash, the CHP found his computer plugged into his cigarette lighter and still running.
Hmmmm. You don’t suppose he was another blogging addict blogging at the time, do you? I hope he wasn’t on Blogstream at the time.
You don’t drive while using your laptop, do you?

Oh, and I don't use my laptop while driving, but only because I'm too busy eating, drinking (diet soda), changing, and talking on the cell phone. I mean really, people can only do so many thing at a time ... until science figures out how to attach extra hands either to me or the car.
Oh NO!
There are several male bloggers I haven't been hearing from lately!
Ohhhhhh, blogging has become a deadly passtime!
"Oh, and I don't use my laptop while driving, but only because I'm too busy eating, drinking (diet soda), changing, and talking on the cell phone." You're kidding aren't you? At least, I hope you are kidding.
Connie,
No, I think Blogstream bloggers are too smart to do a dumb thing like that.

"With the Treo 650, smartphones just keep getting smarter." Unfortunately, some of the drivers who use them while driving aren't. Just kidding.
once i was at a grocery store, standing in line, when a woman started talking, i talked back to her and realized she had a little thing in her ear and was talking to someone on her phone....That was rude.
Have a great one!

From my own experience on the highway and the streets, I believe it.
Isn't it difficult to balance a laptop on the handle bars?
yes I was kidding. The joke was based on the All State commercial. Specifically the changing pants part. I'd say something abot putting on makeup, but I hate when I hit a pothole and smudge my rouge (this is a joke also).
I hate those stupic blue tooth ear sets. Several people at my work have them now and I either end up thinking they are talking to me when they are on the phone, or ignore them because I thought they were using the phone. Of course, I've had my eye on some bluetooth helmet for my motorcycle. Then I could talk on the phone and listen to music while dodging reckless drivers who don't pay attention to anything with less than 4 wheels. How rude.
who would know, if any of us had an untimely demise?.
i myself, expect to pass every waking day...
i would not want any of you, (my knew found friends) to think that i simply stopped, dropped out....etc.
no one knows of this site's importance to me.
maybe i'll include a request of notification in my will....
when i write one.....note to self....
just thinking....
"I hate when I hit a pothole and smudge my rouge..." Yes, one could end up with rouged eyelids instead of rouged cheeks.
Yes, I think a will is advisable, especially for a blogger who blogs on a laptop while driving.
Do you own a Palm Treo 650? Why not?
"...it is one of those one second at a time things..." Remember, it takes only a second for you and possibly some others to die in an automobile accident. Better keep your full attention on the road while driving, or pull over when you want to check you cell phone messages. We need you on Blogstream.
You sound pretty busy while driving. You'd better stay away from the Palm Treo 650. It might distract you.
I listen to Book on tape when in the car. Especially the long trips.
I love you all but I am not missing out on that to blog when I am driving. I am getting a new stereo soon and will move up to DVDs because the tapes are running scarce but I can wait a bit because
I just bought 6 more when Atlantic Warehouse went out of business.
Yours for better listening.
Shuffling the cards while driving must be very difficult and extremely dangerous.
Sad, but lucky for you.
"I would still many time, just talking, miss my exit or pass where I was intending to go, because I was concentrating on the conversation too much."
And yet one can hear many cellphone users today swear that using a cell phone does not divert their full attention from their driving.
I don't recomend drinking and driving, and I don't recomend talking on the cell phone while driving. If I get a call while I'm driving I'll answer it, but let the person know I'm driving and need to get off the phone. I think the only time I ever talk on the phone for a longer time span is if I'm on a long trip. Then I will use the phone out on the highway so long as I know I won't be in or around city traffic. Fewer vehicle to pay attention to while on the phone. Even then I try to wrap up the conversations pretty quick or let my "copilot" do the talking.
